Packing tips that save the most space
- Plan outfits, not items. Pick one colour family so every top works with every bottom.
- Wear the bulk. Travel in your heaviest shoes and jacket.
- Decant. Small refillable bottles hold a week of toiletries.
- Medication and documents stay with you, never in checked luggage.
Questions
How does the packing list generator decide quantities?
Clothing is based on the number of days and how often you can wash. Without laundry you need one outfit per day; with laundry every few days you need one cycle of outfits plus a spare. Everything else is one of each.
Does it check the weather?
Optionally. Type a destination and it fetches a free 7-day forecast from Open-Meteo, then ticks hot, cold or rain for you. For trips further out, set the conditions yourself from typical seasonal weather.
What should be on every travel packing checklist?
ID or passport, bank cards, booking confirmations, phone and charger, medication, and comfortable shoes. The rest depends on the trip.
Does it tell me visa or passport rules?
No. Entry rules change and depend on your nationality, so the list reminds you to check them with official government sources instead of stating them.
Is my list saved?
Yes, your ticks and any items you add are saved in this browser. You can clear them on the privacy page.
